The Ötztal Valley is a
popular skiing destination in Tyrol - well known as a host of the Skiing World Cup, the region has plenty of top quality slopes of varying levels which make it the ideal skiing holiday destination for families, beginners or expert skiers. The opportunities to make the most of this fantastic skiing region are endless!
The nearby winter skiing region is connected to both
glacier ski regions by ski lifts, so that the glaciers, at an altitude of up to 3,250 m, are easy to reach from the town of Sölden, where our hotel is located just 50m from the cable car.
On the Rettenbach Glacier the longest ski-run, around 12.8 km long with an altitude difference of 1,880 m, leads you down into the valley - a must try for those with some skiing experience. Meanwhile the 6 km long trail through the Rettenbach Valley is an insider's tip for all skiing fans.
Pistes
63 km red, 53 km blue and 28 km black runs as well as 6 km of skiing trails provide you will plenty to keep you entertained during your skiing holiday. From simple terrain for beginners on the Giggijoch to the much more demanding pistes on the Gaislachkogl mountain.
The Gaislachkogl (3,058 m) is also popular with those who want to explore away from the marked pistes.
